About the matter concerning Gears and Equipments outfitting The port of Genoa, has been made already mention within sections of various terminals shown. Herewith we'll show all that has not been included in those sections. The Port Administration has quite closed the removal of the obsolete gears and equipments from each wharf and pier;a modern port need full flexibility and fast operating means joined to high safety of means and easy to use peculiarity. The modernizing course has not involved,of course,the new cranes fitted to the container terminals,as there is nothing of newest.Actually,the fixed cranes alongside the wharfs they consists of:

1. Nos.16 Cranes by 1,5 T.
2. Nos.113 Cranes by 3 T.
3. Nos.18 Cranes by 6 T.
4. Nos.1 Crane by 7,5 T.
5. Nos.2 Cranes by 10 T.

Besides these fixed gears,two new electrical powered elevators by 20 T. each, have been assembled alongside the wharf of Ponte San Giorgio likely Ponte Idroscalo, Ponte Rubattino,all making up the Bulk Ore Terminal. About the self powered means,the port of Genoa enjoins of Nos.253 Lifters,37 of which are electrically self powered,suitables to be used properly within holds and restricted spaces. Other 50 self powered cranes between 10 and 25 T.,and few of these last ones by 65/70 T. complete the outfit.
Special mention is due to the floating pontoons.The port enjoins of 4 Crane Pontoons by 150 T.,Rock layer pontoons by 450 T.,Workshop Pontoons for soldering and energy supplying,Painting and Chipping Pontoons,Tank Pontoons,Dredging Pontoons and auxiliary barges for divers and boats for crew and passengers.
